Fatigue Phase?field Modeling for Elastomeric Materials

Fatigue failure prediction of elastomeric materials plays a crucial role in engineering applications, e.g., rolling tires. Experimental investigations, as straightforward evaluation fatigue failure, do not enable an efficient insight due to significant time consumption. Therefore, several numerical approaches are developed model fracture or damage behavior material components subjected cyclic loading. Inspired by [1], the work at hand incorporates degrading toughness into promising phase-field method. As smeared crack representation, does depend upon any explicit criterion for evolution, initiation and propagation. Furthermore, this proposes novel algorithm, which is based on post-processing technique, evaluate energy release rate PARIS' parameters during stable propagation regime. The methodology implemented Finite Element framework demonstrative example simulated.
